Gene Munster, managing partner at Deepwater Asset Management, has shared a captivating prophecy concerning Apple Inc.’s upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference.

On Tuesday, Apple unveiled the schedule for its annual developers conference, WWDC 2024, set to run from June 10 to June 14 this year.

While the conference will be streamed online, Apple has extended exclusive invitations to select software developers for an in-person celebratory affair on the first day.

In a bold move, Munster took to a social media platform and forecasted that this event will herald the initiation of Apple’s generative AI strategy. He believes this could be Apple’s most significant announcement since 2007, focusing on the evolution of their operating systems.

Additionally, Munster predicted that Cupertino will follow the leads of Microsoft Corporation and Alphabet Inc.’s Google by integrating generative AI into its operating system interface.

He also expects Apple to infuse generative AI into iOS, MacOS, applications, and Siri, alongside revealing further AI advancements for developers and providing access to foundation models.

“Apple’s AI announcements this year will echo those made by Google and Microsoft in May of 2023 regarding AI integration into product interfaces,” Munster asserted.

Furthermore, Munster forecasted, “I anticipate generative AI will be integrated into iMessage, Mail, Calendar, Notes, Pages, and Numbers,” underscoring, “Regarding Siri, I’m hopeful they will unveil an AI-powered version by 2024. Although Siri currently uses some AI for suggestions, it lacks a generative, conversational experience that revolutionized Chat GPT’s advent into our daily lives.”

Earlier this month, reports surfaced about Apple’s discussions with Google to license Gemini AI models for future iPhones, a move that Munster suggests could position Apple as a forerunner in personalized AI.
