Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently shared an intriguing insight about the comfort of the Cybertruck, surprising many with its plush interior despite the vehicle’s large size and stainless steel shell.
New Perspective: Musk’s comments followed feedback from a Tesla enthusiast who labeled the Cybertruck as the “most comfortable Tesla” after finding it easier to maneuver in San Francisco compared to a Model S.
“That is what surprises people most,” Musk emphasized in response to the unexpected revelation.
Specs and Handling: Measuring about 223.7 inches in length and weighing over 6,600 lbs in the all-wheel-drive variant, the Cybertruck dwarfs the Model S, which is a more modest 197.9 inches long.
The Cybertruck’s comfort features, including air suspension, adaptive damping, and robust tires, were engineered by Cybertruck lead Wes Morrill to deliver a smooth, yet sporty driving experience.
Tesla boasts a superior turning radius for the Cybertruck, with a curb-to-curb turning circle of 43.5 ft that outperforms most sedans. Musk hinted at ongoing improvements to further enhance maneuverability.
Drawback: While the Model S is equipped with Tesla’s advanced Full Self-Driving (FSD) software, the Cybertruck lacks several driver-assist features, causing Musk to ponder between manually driving the Cybertruck or relying on his Model S with FSD.
