The iPhone, long considered Apple, Inc.’s cash cow, is no longer the sole revenue driver for the tech giant. The company is now on the hunt for its next flagship product, as highlighted by Bloomberg columnist Mark Gurman on Sunday.

Robotics Exploration: Within Apple’s engineering and AI divisions, secret teams are delving into the realm of robotics, Gurman revealed in his weekly newsletter, “Power On.”

One of the projects in progress involves a potential table-top device featuring a robotic arm that manipulates a display. Gurman explained that this arm could simulate human gestures during FaceTime calls, enhancing user experience.

Furthermore, Apple has been contemplating the development of a home robot capable of assisting with household tasks. While this innovation may still be years away, Gurman remains optimistic about the future integration of Apple’s technological advancements into consumers’ daily lives.

Smart Home Endeavors: Apple envisions a dynamic future for its smart home ecosystem, aiming to automate various household functions. Gurman disclosed plans for a redesigned Apple TV box equipped with a camera for video calls and gesture controls, seamlessly integrating with other Apple devices.

Additionally, Apple is exploring a lightweight smart display resembling a portable iPad that users can move and dock in different rooms. Although in the testing phase, Apple has yet to finalize plans for this innovative product.

While Apple’s current focus remains on incremental enhancements to its existing products, such as new sizes, colors, configurations, and accessories, the company’s strategic vision hints at a broader horizon beyond the iPhone.

Closing the trading week with a 0.45% gain, Apple’s stock price stood at $169.58. However, the tech giant has witnessed a 12% decline year-over-year, signaling the need for innovation and expansion beyond its traditional offerings.
