Enhancing Capabilities

Lockheed, a stalwart in aerospace and defense, is set to embark on the development, testing, and delivery of updates and novel capabilities for the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications system (C2BMC) for the Missile Defense Agency. This robust system plays a pivotal role in integrating various components of the Ballistic Missile Defense System to construct a global, interconnected, and multi-layered defense structure capable of detecting, tracking, and intercepting ballistic missile threats across all phases of flight.

Long-Term Commitment

This noteworthy contract covers an ordering period stretching from May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2029, with the option for an extension up to the end of April 2034, as disclosed by the U.S. Department of Defense. The extension option underscores the enduring partnership between Lockheed Martin and the government, showcasing a mutual commitment to bolstering national defense capabilities well into the future.
