Enphase Energy Inc. and ON Semiconductor Corp emerged as the stars of the day, boasting gains of 6.1% and 5.4% respectively. Tracking this sector, the Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) joined the party, posting a 1.8% increase for the day and an impressive 22.92% year-to-date climb. On the flip side, Enphase Energy Inc. encountered a stumble, registering a 10.33% year-to-date fall, while ON Semiconductor Corp lagged behind with a 6.36% year-to-date decline. Together, these two companies constitute around 0.5% of XLK’s holdings.

A Consumer Products Conquest

In a parallel realm, the Consumer Products sector showcased its strength, advancing by 1.4% on Friday. Among the prominent players in this domain, Ford Motor Co. and Pool Corp shone bright, recording gains of 5.2% and 4.5% respectively. Observing this sector, the iShares U.S. Consumer Goods ETF (IYK) mirrored the positive sentiment, posting a 1.2% uptick in midday trading and a solid 5.43% climb year-to-date. Ford Motor Co. reveled in a significant 20.14% year-to-date increase, while Pool Corp struggled, facing a 16.20% year-to-date decline.
