EV giant Tesla Inc. TSLA revealed its latest innovation, the two-seater robotaxi known as the Cybercab, during a recent event. The Cybercab, with its distinctive butterfly wings that elegantly open upwards, marks a significant step for the electric vehicle industry.

The design of the Cybercab, inspired by Elon Musk’s biographer Walter Isaacson’s book, is set to be priced aggressively below $30,000, making autonomous driving more accessible to the masses.

Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, shared that the Cybercab will forego traditional charging methods in favor of inductive charging, showcasing Tesla’s commitment to innovative technology.

Elon Musk’s vision for autonomous driving includes integrating the Cybercab into Tesla’s fleet by 2026 or possibly sooner, as he candidly reflected on his penchant for ambitious timelines.

The Robovan: In a bold move, Tesla also introduced the robovan, capable of transporting up to 20 passengers. The van’s modern design, devoid of traditional driving controls, resembles a sleek wagon, posing a potential challenge to Uber’s latest shuttle service.

Tesla aims to kickstart autonomous driving trials with its Model 3 and Model Y vehicles in Texas and California next year, teasing a future where self-driving vehicles are the norm.

The unveiling of these revolutionary products took place at the “We, Robot” event hosted by Tesla at Warner Bros. Discovery Inc.’s studio in Los Angeles. Despite a delayed start due to a medical emergency, Musk’s unwavering commitment to innovation shone through in the event.
